ACRES is an equipment-sharing ecosystem by farmers for farmers. It is an app where farmers can search for harvesting equipment near them that can be delivered at a much faster and affordable rate. It is both for the farmers who need equipment and for those who bought equipment that they do not use and would like to make some extra cash.
Growing up in a family of farmers and being involved in the agriculture industry I see first hand the pain points. After shadowing a farming supervisor during the 2019 almond harvest, I noticed how painful it was to find last minute rentals; thus ACRES was born.
After diving into the research and interviewing more farmers, I realized there are only 3 rental companies. They charge up to 3 times more when equipment is needed the most. It is a huge obstacle to efficiency at a critical time.
Our mission is to make renting farming equipment an easy and painless experience that leaves the costumer feeling like they got a good deal.
